I'm a BIG BOY!!!!!!

It's official...Matthew is a BIG BOY!!! He's been wearing big boy underwear for a week...we are so proud of him! He was so excited to say bye-bye to his diapers and so was mommy! He's doing amazing! He loves being a big boy! I didn't really want to post a picture of him in his underwear, so we took a picture of his favorite pair...Buzz Lightyear of course!

Matthew's new preschool

Matthew went to a new preschool today! He loved it! He was so excited to tell me about his new friends and all the things he did! He's so cute!

With Matthew sick and then going to see my family, we finally went to our new ward for the first time 2 weeks ago...Matthew looked so handsome, I just had to take a picture!

This past Sunday, they made these cute headband ears:

Our trip to Connecticut

Last week, we got home from a trip to see my family in Connecticut! We went before Matthew turned 2 (which means that we now have to buy him a plane ticket! :( Urg!) We actually came home 2 days before his birthday! We had a blast...as usual! And this time Scott came...WAHOO! Matthew and I went out first and then Scott met us there! Here are some pictures of Matthew killing time on the airplane. He did AWESOME...better than mommy! I got so sick (which is pretty usual for me). I got these Toy Story toys before we left, but saved them for the airplane! He loved them...and I mean LOVED them! You will see them in his hand a lot in the pictures throughout our trip! He pretty much always had one of them in his hand!

Passed out...yeah!

There finally! They had all these cool toys in the terminal in New York, so I let him play for a few minutes since he had been sitting for about 5 hours!

Of course, we played in the snow a lot! I love this picture of Matthew all decked out!

He loved the snow! He was very sad when we had to come in! Unfortunetly, my mom took most of the pictures of us out there, but here are a couple! (P.S. Mom, I need those pictures!)

Matthew and I went to a Mommy and Me time at this indoor water park close to my house. Matthew was really excited until he saw this huge bucket that dumped a ton of water every 5 minutes or so...he really didn't like that! But we had fun!

Matthew and his best buddy, Mogely! Mogely really didn't like the tent that much, but Matthew loved Mogely coming in with him! Well, Matthew loved Mogely doing everything with him!

When Scott got there, we all went to the indoor water park to celebrate Scott, my dad, and Matthew's birthday. It was a blast! (I apologize for my camera! It's the one I keep in my diaper bag and the pictures aren't nearly as clear! :(

Whenever I go home, I always go visit my dad at the school he teaches at. Matthew loves it because he has instant access to every sport there is and a huge gym to run around! Mommy loves it because she gets to see her dad and Matthew crashes in the car on the way home! I love that my dad is a teacher and that he coaches! He's the best dad in the whole world! Matthew loves to play sports with him...I just love it! It's like a flashback to me with him when I was little and he coached! I loved being there with him! I was such a daddy's girl...I still adore my dad! :)


While we were at dad's school, we went rock climbing! Dad even made a harness for Matthew!





For the Superbowl, my mom bought a football pinata. Matthew really enjoyed hitting it with a bat! :)




A little night time play in the snow!



My mom and dad threw a little birthday party for Matthew and got him this adorable cake! It was a fun night!





My parents gave Matthew a card with a gift card to Toys R' Us for his birthday and when they gave him the card to open, he was so excited! Then when he opened it he said, "Oh wow! It's beautiful for Matthew!" It was so funny!

My parents gave Scott an Ipod shuffle for his birthday.

The night before this snowfall, my dad and Scott went out and built ramps and prepared the sledding hill by spraying it with water. They imported snow from all over the yard! They were out there for an hour or two at least, but it was definitely worth it! They did a great job and we enjoyed it the next day! Matthew loved going on the "boat" or sled! Even though Scott says he doesn't like the snow...he had a blast!


Matthew asked to go by himself, but it's a pretty big hill for such a little man, so Scott went behind him! Matthew was laughing the whole way and then asked to do it again!

The only problem with going to visit my family is leaving! It is so heartbreaking to live so far away from them! Matthew asked to go to their house at least once a day for a week! It breaks my heart that he doesn't understand why he can't see them! He just adores his "Granin" and Poppy! We were so sad that my sisters and brother-in-law couldn't be there too! We missed you!
