We are in...well, sort of!
Here's a little catch up on the last couple of weeks for the Lake family!!!
We got all packed up and moved out, then moved in! Man it was a mess! I wish I could say that it wasn't a mess anymore, but it's getting there!
The day we moved in, Matthew started getting sick! He has never just wanted to lay in bed when he was sick before, but he just laid in bed for hours! I turned a movie on with our portable dvd player and he just laid there! It was so sad, but it did give me some time to try and get unpacked or at least somewhat organized! He was sick all weekend, so on Monday, I took him to the doctor and found out he had pneumonia. It was a long week and some sleepless nights after that! He was totally miserable! It broke my heart to see him like that and not be able to much for him!
We were back to breathing treatments around the clock, Tylenol, and prescriptions! Ug! But I am happy to say that he is 100% better and that we dodged the hospital! Wahoo!
While he was sick, Matty fell in LOVE with Woody and Buzz Lightyear from watching Toy Story! His cousins Curtis and Ethan gave Matthew a Buzz a couple of months ago and he is now Matty's buddy! So the other night, we went to Disneyland and completed the duo by getting Matthew a Woody! He says all day to them: "I love you, I love you, I love you!" Here are some cute pictures of him hugging his buddies!
Now, it's off to the freezing cold to visit my family...Wahoo! I love the cold and I love my family, so I am so excited! Everyday this week, Matthew has asked if we are going to "Granin and Poppe's" house! He is so excited! I have been searching for a week for a winter coat for him and I finally found one yesterday. Matthew loves it and doesn't like to take it off! It's 75 degrees here, so he gets hot quick!

Move Update...
So this week has been even more crazy then last week! Poor Matthew is starting to have a hard time with this move...he can't figure out where all of his stuff is going! Last night he wouldn't leave the house without taking his bike and helmet with him. They are one of his only toys that haven't been packed up! We've been talking to him about his "new house" and he's very excited about it (although I don't think he understands). I took him to see it on Monday and he looked everywhere for his toys. I couldn't figure out what he was doing until he said, "Where's my Pooh?" He'll understand tonight when we start unpacking all his stuff in his new room.
On Tuesday night, the Elder's Quorum here helped us load up the trailer with all the big furniture and boxes and then on Wednesday night, the Elder's Quorum in our new ward helped us move in. We realized we didn't have Matthew mattress, so we spend one more night here. Matthew's Aunt "Balerie" and Unlce "Tinny" (Valerie and Tony) took him to Disneyland all day yesterday to keep him out of the house and he had a blast. We have finished packing the rest of our stuff here and we are moving it there tonight and then we are done! We are so realived that we are all done packing, moving, etc.!!!
But with everything done and looking at a mostly empty house, it just makes me think of all the memories we made here and the blessings that have come to our family as we have lived here! Although it's sad for me to leave, it makes me happy to think of all the memories and exciting times ahead at our new house!

Vote on my HANDSOME boy!!!!
A friend of ours, Dina Love, is a photographer and started a project on January 1st called Faces of Love and took some pictures of Matthew today. She did an amazing job....such a good job that she couldn't decide which picture she liked best! We need some help from our family and friends. Go to Dina Love Photography's Faces of Love and vote on your favorite picture! I know I'm just a little biased, but my son is one handsome dude!!!!
One more note, you can sign up to be part of her project by emailing her at: dina_love@sbcglobal.net
She's great with kids...Matthew is close to impossible to take pictures of and she did an awesome job!

We're moving!!!
We have been living in Scott's dad's house for the last 14 months or so and we found out on Sunday that they will be returning home from their mission a little early. We are so grateful for the time they let us live here and for the time they were able to serve. We know they really enjoyed their mission and we are sad for them that they have to return home early, but we are excited to be near them again. Because it was a quick decision, we only had a short time to pack up and move, so Scott's sister Leslie came to help us pack. She brought Matthew's cousin Sara and the two of them were troopers about the whole thing. Leslie was very helpful and we very much appreicate her and her sacrifice to come help us. Matthew has done amazing watching the only house he knows (or remembers) get packed up and moved out. He is excited about his "new house" and to unpack all his toys and books when we get there. For a little while we were unsure of where we were going to go, but this morning we decided to move into a condo in Rancho Santa Maragrita. We are excited to live by friends from Irvine again, but we will miss the friends we have made here. Here are a few pictures of our very eventful week:

Thank you Aunt Leslie!

Our disastrous (but organized although it doesn't look like it!) house!
We have felt an overwhelming amount of love from our friends and family this week! We are very grateful to everyone who has helped us this week and those that have offered and those that are coming to help us next week. We are excited about our new adventure!
