Since it has been FOREVER since I updated my blog, I will give an update on our boys....first of all...oh my goodness, THEY ARE SOOOOO CUTE!!! They absolutely adore each other and it is such a privilege to be their mom! Scott and I can't believe they are our sons! They have the sweetest relationship I have ever seen! It is so fun to watch their friendship blossom everyday! It is almost like they are picking up where they left off! They look at each other like they remember each other from heaven! I hope and pray everyday that they will continue to be such great buddies! Matthew loves to involve Michael in everything he possibly can. When we explain that Michael's not big enough yet, Matthew just says, "But he is!" Michael watches everything Matthew does and we can just see that he can't wait to take off and play with his big brother! Matthew absolutely loves sharing a room with Michael! At night, he reminds me that Michael needs to sleep in his room! He is so quiet and makes sure that everyone else doesn't wake him! Michael absolutely hates waking up, but as soon as he sees Matthew, he's all smiles! In fact, as soon as Michael wakes up, we take him right to Matthew! They are each other's biggest fan! Matthew gets so excited when Michael learns something new! He cheers him on and tells him how proud he is of him! I really can't get over how much they love each other! It's something you have to see to really understand! I just love watching them! Words could never describe how much we love them!
Matthew is in HEAVEN with my parents! He totally adores them and I really don't know who loves it more...them or him! He has such a sweet relationship with them and I'm so glad he can be close to them now! He literally sleeps, eats, and breathes BASEBALL! He wakes up and runs outside to set up his bases and play! We rotate throwing the ball because he refuses to hit it off a tee! On average, he's playing baseball about 5 hours a day! He is very good, especially for a 3 year old! Most kids have a blanket or stuffed animal they sleep with every night, but not our son...he has to have his bat, glove, and batting helmet in his bed with him! He's definitely our little all-star! Hopefully next year, he will be old enough to play on a team! He's been into lacrosse lately too! Next year, he can play lacrosse which will be fun! I think any sport he can get his hands on, he is happy with! It's so fun to watch him learn! He's so smart! I am always so surprised by what he knows and how quickly he learns it! He keeps us laughing all the time! He has the funniest expressions and sometimes sound much older than he is! He is having an absolute blast with my parents dog Mogely. They are great buddies! Matthew loves to have Mogely anywhere he goes! We are trying to teach Mogely to fetch the baseballs and bring them back to us, but he's not so great at bringing them back! I can't wait to get Matthew a dog when we have our own home! He's so great at taking care of Mogely! He is the absolute sweetest little boy and big brother! He is and will be such a great example to his little brother and future siblings! He is still so kind and sweet and I wish I could be more like him! We love him SO much!
Oh my...how do I describe our sweet Robert Michael! You would never know how little he was because he's so big and healthy and so, so happy! He really is the happiest baby and he's so content! He has this contagious smile that just lights up every room he is in and makes everyone want to be near him! We call him Mr. Smiles! Although Matthew calls him Mr. Spitty because he spits up and is quite the drooler! :) He also just screams for the pure joy of hearing his own voice! Pretty much all his hair fell out, but dark, fuzzy hair is coming back in! He looks a lot like me, especially when I was a baby! He still has blue eyes, although not quite as light as Matthew's. They're almost a navy blue! He is working on his 2 bottom teeth, but I love his toothless smile! He is a little behind in his development, but he'll catch up! He just started rolling over tummy to back last week and wants to roll back to tummy so bad..he is so close! He is also so close to sitting up! He would so much rather sit in his Bumbo chair and watch Matthew! He watches him and you can just tell he thinks Matthew is so cool! When he starts moving, he is just going to follow Matthew everywhere! He wants to eat everything! I don't give my kids solids until 6 months, so he is just starting, but oh my...he wants to eat everything we eat! He opens his mouth, kicks his feet, and tries as hard as he can to get whatever we have! He is loving the rice cereal and absolutely loves to drink water! I have to put up a video of him drinking water from a cup...it's so funny! He just turned 6 months on Wednesday and it's amazing how fast it goes, yet we can't remember what it was like not having him! He is such a joy and an incredible blessing in our home!
We are all so happy here! Scott loves his job and we love being here! Sometimes it still feels unreal! I will try to be better about updating the blog...we have been doing a lot of fun stuff, so I need to catch up, but for now, enjoy this cute picture of our growing boys!

Mom, I wanna play hockey!
So Matthew has a new dream...play hockey! He loves sports! Any sport he can get his hands on, he is all over! And the great thing is, he catches on so quickly! But, I have to say, I was a little nervous about this particular sport, especially at 3 years old! I mean, aren't the hockey players the ones without any teeth?! But, we do not want to hold Matthew back from doing the things he wants to do, especially sports! So, we took the first step and took him ice skating! I thought it would take a while for Matthew to catch on with ice skating, but being my little athlete, this kid just caught on. He's not ice skating around by himself, but he is totally moving his feet without his legs going spread eagle! It was quite a sight to see! On the way home he told us, "I'm so good at ice skating!" We decided we are going to get this little boy into lessons as soon as we get settled (more to come on that comment later!) But here are some pictures from our fun night! It was so much fun...I definitely recommend it for a fun family outing!
I am going to be driving this kid all over to all his practices, but bring it on! I love it!

Michael was not quite as thrilled about this adventure, but he did fall asleep and stay warm in his adorable outfit! :)

We had so much fun...I can't wait to take him again! And Matthew can't wait until he's big enough to play hockey!

Happy 3 months Robert Michael!
Time sure flies by! I can't believe our little man is 3 months old already! (well yesterday) Oh my goodness he is so cute! Since I wasn't so great at updating my blog for the first 3 months, here's a sum up of Michael's little life so far:
-born at a healthy 6lbs. 12 oz.
-lost a pound after he came home, starting eating every 2 hours (exhausting)
-got jaundice
-LOVES to snuggle
-started getting super fussy, although miraculously slept great at night (one grateful mommy!)
-gained 2 and a half pounds in one month!
-didn't slow down eating!
-had his 1st Christmas
-finally started eating every 3 hours!
-first road-trip to visit Aunt Valerie and Uncle Tony
-found out he's allergic to dairy and gluten (boo...very hard for mommy!)
-meets his Poppy (who is named after!)
-slept 6 hours straight at night! (wahoo!)
-didn't loose any of that beautiful hair!
-got 3 colds (poor baby!)
-started smiling when his tummy didn't hurt so much!
-went to Disneyland for the first time
-got his tonsils checked by his big brother "Dr. Matthew"
-starts cooing and talking!
-total Mama's boy!
-discovered his hands
-and on his 3 month birthday....he slept all the way through the night!!!!!!! YEAH! (exciting for mommy and daddy, but actually pretty painful for mommy...anyone who's breastfed a baby can understand my pain!)
Michael is such a sweet fun baby! He has so much patience for his brother who loves him so much (sometimes a little too much!) We are so grateful for him everyday!

A quick flashback...
So my fantastic sister, Chelsey, took these pictures of Michael and I the day he was born. She sent them to me last week and I was just looking through them and had to share a few. It brought tears to my eyes to look at these pictures because it brought back all the feelings I had that day, the smells, and even the touch of my sweet baby. These may not be the most attractive pictures of me (I was exhausted), but I will always treasure these because of the rush of memories they bring back to my mind and heart when I look at them. I couldn't wait to get out of the hospital (mostly because I had been there way too often), but looking at these reminds me of that first day we had together, where it was basically just the two of us (and sometimes Scott) when I got to hold and touch and kiss this baby I had spent so much time bonding with while I lay in bed for all that time! I am so totally in love with my sweet Michael and I am grateful every single day for him and his incredibly strong spirit!

Thank you Chelsey for these pictures and all the others that you took! (I will add more soon!)

Such a sweetheart!
Today when I was putting Michael down for a nap and Matthew wanted to help. Ever since Matthew was a tiny baby, we have rocked and sang to him before he goes to sleep! Matthew asked if he could rock and sing to Michael today. It was so sweet! I was so glad I had my camera there to capture it! He has a sweet little voice and learns songs so quickly! He chose just a few that he knows... (sorry, there are a few videos!)

Cute in summer!
So there were a couple days this week that were so warm...like 80 (I know all those in freezing weather are jealous), but it was ridiculous! I absolutely love cold winter weather, so I was not happy that it was that hot! But Michael got to wear a couple cute outfits that were Matthew's that will be too small for him this summer. They were a little big, but he looked so cute! It was kind of fun to see him in Matthew's old clothes!

I love how Michael is just looking at Matthew! Michael is definately a people watcher!

What a doll! Look at those chubby legs...so cute! Matthew wore this when he was 3 months old too, but he filled it out quite a bit more! :)

Kisses! Michael doesn't look so thrilled! :) He actually tolerates Matthew up in his face really well! It's almost like he likes it!

They are just too cute! Matthew wanted to be silly for a picture!

Matthew loves to "teach" Michael! And he loves to lay with him under this toy! He's the sweetest brother!

Our little baseball all star!
Today was such a beautiful day, we decided to go to the park and play baseball. Here are a couple videos of Matthew hitting and running the bases. We are working on running the bases in the right order! :) In this first video, if you look carefully, you can see his tongue hanging out!
You can't hear him, but he's saying, "Who's the cat? You the cat! Who's the cat? You the cat!" from the movie Madagascar...it was hilarious!
This video cracks me up because he totally starts to run the wrong way, but catches himself!
